The Ex-Wife Part 2 – Interactive Graphics from Behind the Screen

Last year, I had the chance to be part of The Ex-Wife Part 2, the gripping follow-up to the original psychological thriller—now streaming on Paramount+. Filmed in the beautiful setting of Cyprus, the series presented a new kind of challenge for me: designing, developing, and deploying all the interactive graphics that would become key to the story.

A Remote Role with a Central Focus

Although I was working remotely from England, I was deeply embedded in the creative process. My task was to create a full suite of digital interfaces—used across phones, laptops, and various on-screen devices—that the characters would interact with throughout the series. These weren’t just background props. Every single element was carefully scripted and played a direct role in the plot.

Script-Driven Interactive Graphics

The digital world of The Ex-Wife Part 2 was complex and layered. I designed everything from social media apps and SMS conversations to GPS tracking tools and spyware interfaces. These apps had to feel real and familiar to viewers, while still being custom-built to suit the story’s needs.

Some of the interactive elements I created included:

• Social networks

• SMS and Phone interfaces

• Email clients

• Search engines

• Spy software

• GPS tracking systems

Each one was guided by the script and tailored to match the characters’ actions and the unfolding tension. In many scenes, these interfaces were not just decorative—they were central to the narrative and character development.

Working with a Brilliant Team

Even from afar, I had the pleasure of collaborating closely with the incredible art department, whose creative energy shaped the visual world of the show. Special thanks to Kostantinos “Nat” Natiotis, Annie, and of course Paul Rowan the Production Designer, who made the process seamless and inspiring. Their input was vital in shaping how the digital elements blended into the production design, and their trust and guidance allowed me to push the quality and storytelling of the graphics even further. It was a genuinely rewarding experience to be part of such a passionate and talented team.

It’s always exciting to see the final product come together, but The Ex-Wife Part 2 was particularly special. Watching the digital interactions unfold on screen—knowing how central they were to the pacing and suspense—has been hugely fulfilling.
